Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says Manchester City are “still the best group on the planet”, regardless of his side being best of the Premier League and seven in front of the champions.
Klopp’s side face City at Etihad Stadium on Thursday at 20:00 GMT.
City have lost two of their previous three leagues game and are third, a point behind second-put Tottenham.
Klopp stated facing City is “one of the most tough games you can play in the current soccer world”.
“We must be set up in the same class as conceivable, we must be daring, we must be loaded with want, furious, as in all the other games,” said Klopp.
City, who won the league last season with a record 100 points, have not won in four matches against Liverpool and drew 0-0 when the teams met at Anfield in October.
Liverpool, who are pursuing their first class title since 1989-90, are the main unbeaten side in the association this season.
