Arsenal bobbed once again from their whipping by Liverpool to beat Fulham and move two points behind fourth-set Chelsea.
The Gunners endured their heaviest thrashing of the season on Saturday when they lost 5-1 at Anfield, yet goals from Granit Xhaka, Alexandre Lacazette, Aaron Ramsey and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang helped them to just their second win in six games.
After Ryan Sessegnon had botched two great opportunities for Fulham, Xhaka put the hosts ahead, completing past Sergio Rico after a decent cross from the amazing Alex Iwobi.
Lacazette doubled the lead when he completed off Sead Kolasinac’s draw back after a fine Arsenal passing move.
Aboubakar Kamara pulled one again from short proximity for Fulham, yet Ramsey changed over the Gunners’ third after Aubameyang had hit the post.
Aubameyang’s deflected shot gave Arsenal their fourth and a merited three.
